This month we travelled to Blackpool to join academics, knowledge exchange (KE) professionals, business leaders, and policymakers to exchange insights and explore best practice in an evolving landscape at the annual PraxisAuril conference. The theme this year, "Change – The Impact of KE in a Changing World," delved into how KE can drive instrumental change.
As ever, it was a positive and inspiring event, and we were especially delighted with positive feedback on our work supporting academics to promote clear and meaningful calls to collaborate.
Michael Joseph, Brunel University’s Lead for the Research, Innovate and Emerge (RIEm) programme, is helping businesses secure funding for innovation and to collaborate with research experts. He endorsed konfer’s approach to helping get the best possible responses from your partner searches. Following a review of successful calls for collaboration on konfer, and feedback from our users, we recommend all konfer calls for collaboration should aim to answer four simple questions.
If you would like to talk to us about ways to make the most of konfer, whether you are encouraging your academics to think about what they want from collaborations with industry, or you are a business looking to expand your understanding of the brilliance and inventiveness in UK universities, please get in touch.
